RV – ANTENNA MOUNTS

RV Ladder Mount

A 10′ two element aluminum mast is mounted on the RV access ladder. Adjustable length stainless steel ladder mounts are used. These mounting brackets provides both front to back and side to side mast leveling. A fully extended mast puts the antenna up to approximately 16′. When my custom made antenna mount is used, a mast to 1/2″ pipe adapter is used to connect the antenna mount to the mast. A MFJ antenna mount may be connected to the mast using the standard mounting hardware.

Tripod Mount

The Tripod Mount is made up from a 9.9′ commercial stage lighting stand. The tripod legs are 42″ in diameter, with a folded length of approximately 40″. The stand provides a stable antenna mount on hard ground or pavement. Clamp on feet work well on soft ground or grass. Tent spikes may be driven through the base flange to provide additional stability in strong winds. An adjustable length, drawing case works well to hold the stand or multiple antennas. A mast to 1/2″ pipe adapter is used to connect my custom antenna mount to the mast

Ground Mount

The ground mount uses a two element expandable aluminum stand and general purpose mounting hardware. A spike fits into the base of the stand, and a C clamp connects the stand to a picnic table or power distribution post. The mast is approximately 10′ tall when fully expended. When my custom made antenna mount is used, a mast to 1/2″ pipe adapter is used to connect the antenna mount to the mast. A MFJ antenna mount may be connected to the mast using the standard mounting hardware. The mount works well in strong winds when a wooden picnic table is used.
